Creating a virtual domain

By default, FortiADC has a predefined virtual domain named root that you cannot delete or modify. The admin user can add, delete, enable, and disable virtual domains.

Before you begin:

  • You must have super user permission (user admin) to create virtual domains.
  • You must have super user permission (user admin) to assign network interfaces to virtual domains.

To create a virtual domain:

  1. Go to Virtual Domain.
  2. Click Create New, enter a unique name for the virtual domain.
  3. Save the configuration.
  4. Optionally, double-click or click the (edit icon) of the virtual domain to create and impose custom policies. For more information, see Virtual domain policies.
