Create Customized Data Pattern

FortiCNP uses data patterns to create data scan policies for data monitoring. Customized Data Pattern can be created for any data pattern that is not found in the Predefined Data patterns. Then the customized data pattern can be used to create Customized Data Pattern Policy.

Steps to Create Customized Data Pattern

1. Go to POLICIES > Data Scan > Policies tab, and click Customized tab.
2. Click +ADD NEW to add new data pattern.
3. Fill in the settings in Add Data Pattern.





Data Pattern Name	Enter a name for the data pattern.
Description	Enter a description for the data pattern.
Category	Select a data category from the list.
Max Uncompressed File Size	Specify the upper bound of an object size, in MB, for a full content scan.
Max Compressed File Size	Specify the upper bound of a zip file size, in MB, for a full content scan.
Regex (PCRE) Context	Enter a regex of phrase or string of characters, and any file containing that phrase will be monitored.
