Configure the system time

The FortiDeceptor unit’s system time can be changed from the Dashboard. You can configure the FortiDeceptor system time locally or select to synchronize with an NTP server.

To configure the system time:
  1. Go to System Information widget > System Time.
  2. Click [Update].
  3. Configure the following settings:

    System Time

    The date and time according to the FortiDeceptor unit’s clock at the time that this tab was loaded.

    Time Zone

    Select the time zone in which the FortiDeceptor unit is located.

    Set Time

    Select this option to manually set the date and time of the FortiDeceptor unit’s clock, then select the Hour, Minute, Second, Month, Day, and Year fields before you select Apply.

    Synchronize with NTP Server

    Select this option to automatically synchronize the date and time of the FortiDeceptor unit’s clock with an NTP server. The synchronization interval is hard-coded to be 5 minutes. You can configure only one NTP server.

    Server

    Enter the IP address or domain name of an NTP server. To find an NTP server that you can use, go to http://www.ntp.org. Ensure that the applicable routing is configured when an NTP server is used.

  4. Click Apply to apply the changes, then select OK in the confirmation dialog box.

    You may need to log in again after changing the time.

  2. Click [Update].
