Setting up a PAC file in Apache

  1. In an Apache server environment, set up a PAC file, using the following information:

    • FortiIsolator internal IP address (for example 192.168.1.100)
    • Apache server IP address (for example 172.30.156.200)
    • Create a PAC file with the filename proxy.pac, in the HTML directory of the Apache server (for example, /home/<username>/www)
  2. Write the PAC file under 172. 30.156.200:/home/<username>/www:

  3. To ensure that you can access the PAC file, open a browser and type http://172.30.156.200/proxy.pac in the address bar. You do not need to save the file because it is used only to verify that you can access the PAC file.
