What's new

FortiADC 7.2.3 offers the following new features:

Auto Populate Real Servers

You can now auto-populate real servers using the real server's FQDN. When the real server has more than one IP address for DNS server responses, the auto-populate feature allows FortiADC to automatically generate additional real servers with these IP addresses.

The real server auto-populate feature is currently supported only in FortiADC version 7.2.3. Upgrading from version 7.2.3 to 7.4.0 will cause auto-populated real server related configuration loss, and may cause other unexpected behavior.

Support for real server auto-population will be extended to later versions in the next release.

Backup functionality restricted to Global Admin

FortiADC has now restricted the system backup functionality to Global administrator users only to protect against a system vulnerability. Previously, users only required System read-write permission to create backup files of the system configuration, however, now only administrator users with Global Admin access enabled are allowed to backup system configurations.

For administrator users intending to use the system backup functionality, please ensure that your admin account settings has Global Admin set to Yes. Otherwise, you will not be able to create the system backup file after upgrading to FortiADC 7.2.3.
