Setting up a third interface for Main host outbound traffic (optional)

These settings are optional. You only need to configure the following when a dedicated subnet is needed for the outbound traffic of the Main host.

To set up a third interface for Main host outbound traffic:
  1. In ESXi/vSphere Web Console, locate the VM host for the Main host instance.
  2. In ACTIONS > Edit Settings, click ADD NEW DEVICE > Network Adapter to add a new Network and select the desired network for outbound traffic.

  3. From the FortiAnalyzer-BigData web GUI, go to System Settings > Network.
  4. In Cluster Network section, edit the Main Host.
  5. Toggle on Outbound Interface and configure the IP and destination route settings.

    The Outbound Interface toggle only appears when a third interface is added to the VM host.

  6. Click Save to save your changes.
