Visual search in hybrid deployments |
Visual search such as person detection and vehicle detection is now supported on Fortinet camera models with AI features (name ends in Analytics are also supported by the metadata recorded for visual search. |

Areas for license plate of interest in hybrid deployments |
License plate of interest detection regions can now be defined for cameras that are in hybrid cloud deployments with FortiRecorder. |

Human ID check |
When Human ID is disabled, age and gender filters for visual search will also be disabled. |

Local privacy law compliance |
Personal data (metadata gathered from face and gender recognition) is now automatically disabled based on IP address geolocation. This accommodates local privacy laws. Effected jurisdictions currently include:
Visual search and analytics based on those attributes therefore will also not function for cameras located in those cities, states, and provinces. |

Camera firmware management |
Firmware upgrade management, including the option for automatic firmware upgrades, is now supported for cameras in hybrid deployments with FortiRecorder. |

External IdP providers |
External IdP servers are now supported for users to log into FortiCamera Cloud. |
|
License grace period |
When a camera's license expires, there is a grace period of 7 days. After the grace period, you can only view the camera's live stream. |

Camera status simplified |
Removed the Dormant status. Possible statuses are now Operational (named Online before), Offline, and Attention. |

Custom user type removed |
Removed the custom user type. |
