Data plans

The Data Plan pane allows you to create a new data plan profile, import a profile from a managed device, and assign a plan to a device.

To create a data plan:

1. Go to Extender Manager > Profiles.
2. In the toolbar, click Create New. The Create New Data Plan dialog is displayed.
3. Enter a name and ensure the Status is enabled.
4. For Available on, select a criterion (Modem 1, Modem 2, or All Modems).
5. For Type select a criterion (Carrier, ATCA Slot, ICCID, or Generic).
6. Configure the other settings as needed (Connectivity, Billing Details, and Smart Switch Threshold.

   

7. Click OK.

To install the data plan on a device, click Install Wizard.

To import a data plan:

1. Go to Extender Manager > Profiles.
2. In the tree menu, click Data Plan.
3. In the toolbar, click Import.
4. From the FortiGate dropdown, select a managed device.
5. From the Data Plan dropdown, select a data plan, and then click OK.
6. Click OK.

To install the data plan on a device, click Install Wizard.

To assign a plan to a device:

1. Go to Extender Manager > Profiles.
2. In the tree menu, click Data Plan.
3. Select a plan in the list and click Assign to Device. The Assign to Device dialog is displayed.
4. Move a plan in the Available Entries column to the Selected Entries column.
5. Click OK.

To view where a data plan is used:

1. Go to Extender Manager > Profiles.
2. In the tree menu, click Data Plan.
3. Select a data plan in the list, and click Where Used. The Where <data_plan_name> is used dialog is displayed.

   

4. Click Close.
