What’s new

This release contains the following new features and enhancements:

  • Comment-based filters for policies, name-based filters for firewall objects.

    In System > Profiles, comment-based filters for policies and name-based filters for firewall objects are added. With these filters, users with the corresponding profile can only access matching policies and firewall objects.

  • Web & Video Filters in dashboard.

    Users can enable a dashboard with web & video filters via profile control.

    To enable these widgets in the dashboard, users can edit the profile settings as follows:

    • Select Custom for Insights

    • Enable User & User Group and then select desired widgets under Web & Video Filters section. The options include Top Websites, Recent Blocked Web Sites, Search Engine History, Youtube Category and Top Youtube Title.

  • Policy Block support.

  • Proxy Policy support.

  • Security Profile Group support.

    Users can create a security profile group with various types of security profiles to be used in policies.

  • Web proxy support.

    FortiPortal now supports web proxy:

    config system tunneling
        set address <proxy_address>
        set password <password>
        set port <port>
        set status <status>
        set username <username>
    end
    Caution

    To use web proxy with a scalable cluster, you must configure the same web proxy settings on each node of the cluster; otherwise the cluster may not function properly.
