Viewing license sharing details

After you enable and configure license sharing, you can view the license sharing details in the GUI or CLI in real time.

To view license sharing details in the GUI:

Use the License Sharing Information widget in Dashboard, which displays the total number of available licenses of the SWG Bundle, Browser Isolation (FNBI), and Content Analysis (FCAS) license types, and the number of licenses used by each device in the license pool. Click on a specific section in the chart for more details about the license usage.

To view license sharing details of all HA and Security Fabric groups in CLI:

diag wad license

Lic Sharing mode

Status of license sharing:

  • fabric—Connected fabric license sharing.

  • fabric-disconn—Disconnected fabric license sharing.

  • HA—HA license sharing.

  • None—License sharing disabled.

Active Seat Number of seats that this FortiProxy is actively using.
Available Purchased Seat Number of seats from the local license.
Available Fabric Seat Number of available seats acquired from the fabric group.
Available HA Seat Number of available seats from the HA group.
Max Licensed Session Maximum number of sessions allowed based on the current licenses.
Current Licensed Sessions Number of licensed sessions currently used by this FortiProxy.
Max bypassed Sessions Maximum number of concurrent unlicensed sessions on this FortiProxy.
To view license sharing details of a Security Fabric group, run the following command on a root device:

diag test app csfd 140

Note

This command displays license allocation and usage of each authorized and connected device within the group. For the root device, the total numbers of purchased, used, and allocated seats in the group are also displayed.

Parameter

Description

dev Serial number of the fabric member with license sharing enabled.
seats

Status of local seats:

  • purchased—Number of seats from the local license of the device.

  • used—Number of local seats used by the device.

  • allocated—Number of local seats acquired from the fabric group.

fnbi_seats

Status of FortiProxy Native Browser Isolator seats:

  • purchased—Number of endpoints that can connect the device for isolation detection.
  • used—Number of endpoints that have connected to the device for isolation detection.

  • allocated—Allocated number of endpoints that can connect the device for isolation detection.

stale

Indicates whether the device is in stale state, which means it has lost connection for a specific period of time.

  • y—The device is in stale state.

  • n—The device is not in stale state.

conserve

Indicates whether the device is in license conserve mode, which means it has used up to 90% of the allocated licenses:

  • y—The device is in license conserve mode.

  • n—The device is not in license conserve mode.

root

Indicates whether the device is the root or not:

  • y—The device is the root.

  • n—The device is not the root.

root_sharing: y

Indicates whether the licenses of the root is shared with the group:

  • y—Licenses of the root is shared with the group.

  • n—Licenses of the root is not shared with the group.

This option is available only if root is y.

last ping

Timestamp of the last received ping packet.

total

Seat usage and allocation within the Security Fabric group:

  • purchased—Number of seats from the local license of the device.

  • used—Number of local seats used by the device.

  • allocated—Number of local seats acquired from the fabric group.
