Revoking Takedown Requests

Revoking Takedown Requests

You can revoke a takedown request directly from the Brand Protection > Takedown page, provided the request has not yet reached a final processing status. Revoking a request cancels the process and prevents further action.

The Revoke button is only visible for requests in the following statuses:

  • Requested

  • Acknowledged

  • Approved

  • Awaiting response

  • Initiated

Perform the following steps to revoke an eligible takedown request.

  1. Navigate to Brand Protection > Takedown.

  2. Locate the request you want to cancel and click Revoke.

  3. Confirm that you want to cancel the request.

Revocation Outcomes

After you revoke a request, the final status and credit refund depend on the request's prior status. If the request was in Requested, Acknowledged, Approved, or Awaiting response status, the system marks the request as Canceled, and you receive a credit refund. If the request was already in the Initiated status, the system marks it as Revoked, and no credit refund is provided.
