New features and enhancements

GUI

• Enhanced Sniffer page under Security Fabric to support configuration of the TCP RST feature.

• Enhanced web page loading performance to be faster and responsive.

• Enhanced CLI console on GUI for automated login.

• Added Cloud VM region on the System Checklist feature on the top-right.

• Added warning message on GUI configuration of files and jobs retention suggested to keep them same.

• Added configuration limit on archive password of 30 entries.

• Added filters on source device and user on job search page.

• Added GUI tooltips for default rating on the Web Filtering category page.

Fabric integration

• Added fabric support of new FortiWeb model.

• Added Netshare support on AWS public cloud in Hong Kong region.

Scan

• Introduced the new Windows 11 OS with Office 2019.

• Introduced the new Windows 11 OS with Office 2021.

• Introduced the custom VM support for Windows 11.

• Introduced a new version of the Ubuntu 18 optional VM (Ubuntu18V5).

• Enhanced Pipeline mode advanced scan feature to include URLs.

• Enhanced scan engine to support files of up to 30 GB in size (Refer to Maximum Values in the Appendix section for the limits).

• Enhanced hot stand-by feature to deallocate custom VM instance after configured idle period.

• Enhanced Sniffer mode to support sending a reset packet on network traffic detected with suspicious file or URL.

• Enhanced RTAP to provide screenshot on URLs rated as clean.

• Enhanced RTAP to support additional FortiGuard servers for redundancy.

• Added proxy support for the Real-Time Anti-Phishing service.

• Modified default VM for VM00 Model to Windows 10 edition 2021 with Office 2021 (e.g.WIN10LTSCO21V1).

• Extend Allow/Block list override feature on the Sniffer mode deployment.

System & Security

• Introduced firmware builds for GCP and OCI platforms.

• Introduced Password Policy feature on local administrator accounts.

• Added multiple LDAP and RADIUS users support.

• Added premium disk support on Azure deployment for customized VM.

• Fixed access-right of Netshare user with Full Access permissions to allow configuration change on its Netshare configuration.

Logging & Reporting

• Enhanced event logs on CLI command confirm-id.

• Added filters on source device and user on job search page.

CLI

• Added proxy server support on fw-upgrade CLI command.

• Enhanced tac-report for additional debug info.

• Enhanced the grouping and listed order of the CLI commands.

• Added configuration for enabled TLS Cipher suite used on GUI for administrative access and OFTP for fabric connectivity.

• Added engines upload feature support on CLI mainly for manual update or disconnected to FortiGuard (i.e. Air-Gapped deployment).

• Added CLI command to create, update and delete administrator accounts.
