Provider and Dataset Import / Export Operations

Exporting One or more Providers and all its Dataset Definitions

Follow these steps.

  1. Go to Resources > External Datasets.

  2. Select one or more Providers.

  3. Click on the Export () drop-down and select Export Provider with Dataset.

  4. The exported Provider(s) will be captured in a JSON file in your Download folder. Credentials will be not be exported for security reasons.

Exporting One or more Provider Definitions without Datasets

If you wish to export only the provider, follow these steps.

  1. Go to Resources > External Datasets.

  2. Select one or more Providers.

  3. Click on the Export () drop-down and select Export Provider.

  4. The exported Provider(s) will be captured in a JSON file in your Download folder. Credentials will be not be exported for security reasons.

Exporting One or more Dataset Definitions for a Provider

Follow these steps.

  1. Go to Resources > External Datasets.

  2. From the left Resources pane, select a Provider.

  3. From the main pane, under Datasets for <Provider Name>, select one or more Datasets.

  4. Click on the Export () icon.

  5. The exported Provider Dataset definition(s) will be captured in a JSON file in your Download folder.

Importing One or more Providers with or without Dataset Definitions

Follow these steps.

  1. Go to Resources > External Datasets.

  2. Click the Import () icon.

  3. Choose a file and click Import.

Notes:

  1. Provider Name is unique and a Provider will not be imported if its name is identical to an existing Provider.

  2. Dataset Name is unique for a Provider and a Dataset will not be imported if its name is identical to an existing Dataset for that Provider.

  3. If you skip dataset definitions for a Provider, then only the Provider definition will be imported.

Follow these steps.

  1. Go to Resources > External Datasets.

  2. From the left Resources pane, select a Provider.

  3. From the main pane, under Datasets for <Provider Name>, click the Import () icon.

  4. Choose a file and click Import.
