JWT OIDC ID Token Forwarding in Site Publish (8.0.3)

JWT OIDC ID Token Forwarding in Site Publish (8.0.3)

FortiWeb 8.0.3 adds support for forwarding the OpenID Connect (OIDC) ID token to backend applications when Site Publish is used with OAuth authentication. Many applications require access to the ID token to extract user identity information, and this enhancement enables that integration.

Enhancement
  • A new replacement variable, $OAUTH.ID_TOKEN, is now supported in Site Publish custom headers.

  • When used, FortiWeb inserts the user’s OIDC ID token into the forwarded request, allowing backend applications to access it directly.

This enhancement extends the flexibility of Site Publish header customization without requiring any additional configuration changes.
