Creating VM configurations

Specify the number of vCPUs and service package to use in a VM entitlement.

To create a VM configuration:

1. Go to Configurations, and click New Configuration.

   

2. In the Configuration Details page, set the configuration details and click Next.

   Name	Enter a configuration name.
   Form Factor	Select one of the following options: Virtual Machines Hardware Appliances Cloud Services
   Product Type	Select one of the following options: If you selected the Virtual Machines form factor: FortiGate Virtual Machine - Service Bundle FortiGate Virtual Machine - A La Carte Services FortiWeb Virtual Machine - Service Bundle FortiManager Virtual Machine FortiClient EMS On-Prem FortiAnalyzer Virtual Machine FortiPortal Virtual Machine FortiADC Virtual Machine If you selected the Hardware Appliances form factor: FortiGate Hardware If you selected the Cloud Services form factor: FortiWeb Cloud FortiClient EMS Cloud For information, see Service offerings.

   

3. In the Configuration Setup page, set the service details and click Next. For information, see Configuration details

   

4. Review the configuration details, and click Submit.

   

   The configuration is created. Points start to be consumed on the same day even though your managed VM may still not be created or running.

   

5. Click List to view the configuration in the Configurations tab.
