Testing connectivity

To power on the FortiNDR VM, use one of the following methods:

  • In the inventory list, select the name of the FortiNDR VM and then in the Getting Started tab, click Power on the virtual machine.
  • In the inventory list, right-click the name of the FortiNDR VM and click Power > Power On.
  • Select the name of the FortiNDR VM and click Power On in the toolbar.

To test connectivity to other devices, use ping <IP address>.

Before using FortiNDR VM in production, verify the connections between FortiNDR VM and all required resources.

  • Verify that FortiNDR VM can connect to your Internet access point and to resources on the internet, including connecting to FDS.
  • If the FortiNDR VM is part of a Fortinet Security Fabric, verify that it can connect to all devices in the Security Fabric.
