Validating the FortiNDR VM license

To activate the FortiNDR VM license, use the execute update-now command on your FortiNDR VM.

To check the FortiNDR VM license status, use the diagnose system vm command on your FortiNDR VM.

The following example shows a license that allows a maxmum of 32 vcpus, to only use management IP: 10.10.1.2, and it is registered on FDS.

The Status can be one of the following:

• Valid. FortiNDR can connect and validate against FDS.
• Warning. FortiNDR cannot connect and validate against FDS or this license has been used in another VM.

  FDS checks how many continuous days there has been a warning status. Copy count shows the warning counts the duplicated license has been used.

• Invalid. The FortiNDR license status is invalid so FortiNDR does not function.
