execute backup system-db disk

execute backup system-db disk

Use this command to export the entire FortiNDR database to an external USB disk. This is useful before upgrading the system firmware.

Requirements:
  • Before exporting the database, format the USB drive on another Linux machine to ensure a partition has been created using EXT4 or EXT3 format.
  • After you create the partition, create a temporary file under root directory of the USB drive. The file name will be required once you run the export CLI.

Tooltip

It is recommended you turn off NDRD and file sniffer to conserve system memory for backup. For information, see execute ndrd and execute snifferd.

execute backup system-db disk <file-name>
