Configuring a policy

Configuring a policy

When devices are behind FortiProxy, you must configure a policy on FortiProxy to grant the devices access to the internet. In other words, a policy must be in place for any traffic that passes through a FortiProxy.

To create a policy in the GUI:
  1. Go to Policy & Objects > Policy.

  2. Click Create New. The New Proxy Policy pane is displayed.

  3. Enter a Name and configure the following necessary settings:

    Incoming Interface LAN (port1)
    Outgoing Interface WAN (port2)
    Source Source IPv4 address name and address group names
    Destination Destination IPv4 address name and address group names
    Schedule Always
    Service All
    Action Accept
  4. Click Save.
