Action

Action

The action field is in every FortiRecorder log message where type=system. It indicates what FortiRecorder, cameras, or other devices did during the event, or as a response to the event.

Both can have this action:

  • Normal events that do not require correction
  • Errors that FortiRecorder cannot automatically correct, and may require you to troubleshoot

To distinguish them, use the Log ID.

bootup

The FortiRecorder unit started.

login

An administrator or other user was authenticating to start a session in the GUI, CLI, or FortiCentral.

logout

An administrator or other user was ending an authenticated session.

reboot

An administrator restarted the FortiRecorder unit.

start

The camera tried to start a schedule for continuous recording or recording triggered by motion detection.

stop

The camera stopped continuous recording or motion detection.
