Initializing the FortiAnalyzer-BigData Cluster

After all the FortiAnalyzer-BigData host VMs are powered on, perform the following tasks to completely set up the Security Event Manager Cluster.

To initialize the FortiAnalyzer-BigData cluster:
  1. After all the FortiAnalyzer-BigData host VMs are powered on, click Launch Web Console of the Security Event Manager Controller VM.
  2. Connect with the username root and password fortinet@123.
  3. Run the following command to verify that all members are detected:

    fazbdctl show members

  4. After verifying that all the members are in Joined status, run the following command to initialize the FortiAnalyzer-BigData Cluster:

    fazbdctl init cluster

  5. Wait for about 45 minutes until the following message is displayed on the terminal:

    [100%] Finished setting up Core Services.

    This message means the cluster is successfully initialized.
