Enrolling a macOS device to Workspace ONE

See macOS Device Enrollment. The following provides instructions on hub-based enrollment. You can generate and distribute Workspace ONE enrollment information to endpoint users through the Workspace ONE administration portal.

To perform hub-based enrollment:
  1. Log in to the administration portal and go to ACCOUNTS > Users > List View.
  2. Select the users that you created in Creating a user and assigning them to a user group, then click ADD DEVICE.
  3. From the Platform dropdown list, select Apple macOS.
  4. For Message Type, select EMAIL.
  5. Configure other options as desired, then click SAVE.
  6. Workspace ONE sends a notification email that includes device enrollment information to the endpoint users' email addresses. The users follow the instructions in the email to enroll their devices to Workspace ONE. Enroll the device to Workspace ONE as an end user:
    1. On the endpoint, go to Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub and download the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub installer to the device.
    2. Open the .pkg file and install Intelligent Hub by following the prompts.
    3. Click the icon in the top bar and click Enroll Now.
    4. In the Email or Server Address field, enter the server URL that the notification email included.
    5. In the Group ID field, enter the group ID that the notification email included.
    6. In the Username and Password fields, enter the username and assigned password that the Workspace ONE administrator provided for your account. Click Next.
    7. When authentication completes, the device shows a prompt. Click Install and enter the administrative username and password to install the mobile device management profile. When the process completes, the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub displays a notification that enrollment is complete. The device begins receiving configurations that the administrator assigned to it. When enrollment completes, Workspace ONE pushes the FortiClient configuration profile and the shell script for deploying FortiClient to the device. Starting the script may take a few minutes. FortiClient automatically registers to EMS after installation.
