New features and enhancements

The following is a summary of new features and enhancements in version 7.4.2. For details, see the FortiNDR 7.4.2 Administration Guide in the Document Library.

Center Mode in VMs

VMs now support Center Mode. Please make sure to reserve 90GHz of CPU capacity, at least 48vcpu and 384GB of memory for the VM center mode. See, Standalone, Center and Sensor operating mode.

In Center Mode, the system does not require a NetFlow license to access the NetFlow module in the GUI. See, Netflow.

Note

You cannot load a VM Center license directly into an existing FortiNDR VM (Sensor or Standalone mode), because they have different SKUs.

Network insights

The following menu items were added to Network Insights module:

  • Top Talker
  • Top Application
  • Top URL/Domain
  • MITRE ATT&CK
