Configuring a file filter profile

Configuring a file filter profile

To configure a file filter profile:
  1. Go to Security > Firewall Objects.

  2. Select File Filter Profile from the Security Profiles dropdown.

  3. Click Create or select an existing profile from the list and click Edit.

  4. In the form, enter the following information:

    Settings

    Guidelines

    Name

    Required. Enter a name for the profile.

    Comments

    Optionally, enter comments.

    Scan archive contents

    Enable or disable scanning the contents of archives (such as ZIP or RAR files).

    Feature set

    Select Flow-based or Proxy-based.

    Rules

    Create one or more rules, as follows.

    To create or edit a file filter rule:
  5. Name

    Enter a name for the rule.

    Comments

    Optionally, enter comments.

    Protocol

    Select the protocol to be filtered.

    Traffic

    Select whether to scan Incoming or Outgoing traffic, or Both.

    Match Files

    Password-protected only

    Enable or disable inspection of only password-protected files.

    File Type

    Select the file types to filter.

    Action

    Select whether to Monitor or Block matched traffic.

    Click Save to save the rule.

  6. Click Save to save the file filter profile.
