Configuration

Configuration

View or edit the configuration for each managed WAN extender device.

The following actions are available:

  • Add or edit an extender

  • Add or edit an extender profile

To add or edit an extender:
  1. In WAN> Configuration > Managed Extenders:
    • Click Create New to add a new extender.
    • Select an item from the list and click Edit to edit an existing extender.
  2. In the form, enter or update the following information:
  3. Field

    Serial number

    Y

    Enter the device serial number.

    Mode

    Y

    Select from the following:

    • WAN Extension

    • LAN Extension

    Profile

    Y

    Select an existing extender profile. See To add or edit an extender profile.

    Status

    Y

    Specify the authorization status.

    Select from the following options:

    • Deauthorize

    • Reject

    • Authorize

    Override Management Access

    N

    Enable or disable overriding management access permission, then select the access to allow.

    Override Login Password

    N

    Enable or disable login password override, then specify the password.

  4. Click Save.

    The extender is created and added to the list.

To add or edit an extender profile:
  1. In WAN> Configuration > Profiles:

    • Click Create New to add a new extender profile.

    • Select an item from the list and click Edit to edit an existing extender profile.

  2. In the form, enter or update the following information:

    Enter a name for the profile.

    Model

    Select the extender model.

    Mode

    Select from the following:

    • WAN Extension

    • LAN Extension

    Data plan

    Select a data plan.

    Management Access

    Select the management access permission to allow.

    Login Password

    N

    Specify the password.

    Link load balance

    N

    Select the load balance mode from the following:

    • Active backup

    • Load balance

    This option is only available when Mode is set to LAN Extension.

    IPsec Interface

    Y

    Select the IPsec interface.

    This option is only available when Mode is set to LAN Extension.

    IPsec Interface IP/FQDN

    N

    Enter the public IP address or FQDN of the IPsec interface.

    This option is only available when Mode is set to LAN Extension.

    Uplink Port

    N

    Select an upllink port from the list of click Create to add a new uplink port. See To add or edit an uplink port.

    This option is only available when Mode is set to LAN Extension.

    Modem n

    N

    The number of modems varies by selected model.

    Default SIM

    N

    Select the SIM to use for this modem.

    If Carrier is selected, enter the Preferred carrier.

    SIM 1 PIN

    N

    Enable disable a PIN for SIM 1, then enter a PIN.

    SIM 1 PIN

    N

    Enable disable a PIN for SIM 1, then enter a PIN.

    GPS

    N

    Enable or disable GPS.

    Auto SIM Switch

    N

    Select when SIMs should be switched.

    By disconnecting

    N

    Enable or disable switching by disconnecting, then enter the Disconnect threshold and Disconnect checking period.

    By signal

    N

    Enable or disable switching by signal.

    By data plan

    N

    Enable or disable switching by data plan.

    Controller Report

    N

    Enable or disable the controller report, then enter the Interval and Signal Threshold for reporting.

  4. Click Save.

    The extender profile is created and added to the list.

To add or edit an uplink port:
  1. In the WAN extender profile form, in Uplink Port:
    • Click Create New to add a new uplink port.
    • Select an item from the list and click Edit to edit an existing uplink port.
  2. In the form, enter or update the following information:

    Name

    Y

    Enter a name for the port.

    Uplink port

    Y

    Select the port from the list.

    Role

    Y

    Select the role.

  4. Click Save.

    The uplink port is created and added to the list.

Configuration
