View managed FortiGates and all connected devices in one pane 7.0.2

In Device Manager, go to the Folder View to view in one pane each managed FortiGate and all access devices connected to the managed FortiGate, such as FortiAPs, FortiSwitches, and FortiExtenders. You can also view the firmware version installed on each device.

On the Folder View pane, you can choose between the following display options:

  • Fabric View
  • Flat View
  • Device Type View

From the Folder View pane, you can also assign a firmware template to the managed FortiGate, and the template can include firmware for access devices, such as FortiAPs, FortiSwitches, and FortiExtenders, allowing you to assign firmware to all devices from one pane.

To view all managed devices:
  1. Go to Device Manager > Device & Groups.
  2. From the Table View menu, select Folder View.

    Folder View is displayed. By default, the Display Options is set to Fabric View.

  3. From the Display Options menu, select Flat View.

    Flat View is displayed.

  4. From the Display Options menu, select Device Type View.

    Device Type View is displayed.

  5. (Optional) Assign a firmware template.
    1. Right-click a FortiGate, and select Assign Firmware Template.

      The Assign Firmware Template dialog box is displayed.

    2. In the Devices list, select one or more devices.
    3. In the Firmware Template list, select a firmware template, and click OK.

      The firmware template is assigned to the selected devices.
