Improved templates usability with Template Group 7.0.2

Improved usability of the Template Group. When assigned to a device or a device group, the templates installation sequence order is managed automatically.

To create a Template Group:

1. Go to Device Manager > Provisioning Templates > Template Group.
2. In the toolbar, click Create New. The Create New Template Group pane opens.
3. Configure the template group settings.

   Name	Enter the group name.
   Description	(Optional) Enter a description of the group.
   Provisioning Templates	Click the template you want to add into this Template Group.

   

4. Click OK.

   

To assign the Template Group to a device or a device group:

1. Go to Device Manager > Provisioning Templates > Template Group and select the template group.
2. In the toolbar click Assigned to Device and select the devices or devices groups, then click OK.

   

Installation sequence:

1. When a Template Group is assigned to a device, the system will manage the logic of the sequence/ order the templates to be installed on a device. For example, if the IPSEC Template and Interface Template are assigned to a device, the IPSEC Template will be installed first. The Interface Template is installed next, as this can configure the IP address on the interface created by the first template.
2. The CLI Template/CLI Template Group will be copied to the device after the policy package is copied.
