Activate Data Protection on Bucket/Container

Data Protection offers monitoring and protection for storage buckets/containers. To utilize storage guardian, follow the steps below to select the storage buckets/containers desired for monitoring and protection.

1. Go to ADMIN > Cloud Accounts from FortiCNP navigation pane and select Storage tab.
2. A list of eligible cloud storage will be listed in Eligible Storage.



3. Click to select the storages to receive monitoring and protection.
4. Click Turn on Data Protection button to turn on Data Protection for the selected cloud storages.



5. Alternatively, you can click Action button of the storage account and select "Enable Data Protection".

The Cloud StorageData Scanis not accessible to the cloud storage resided inHong Kongregion. For example:for AWS accounts, when the cloud storage is resided inap-east-1(Asia Pacific - Hong Kong), FortiCNP will not be able to conduct data scan on the cloud storage.
