Quick start

This section provides a summary of how to get started with Universal Connector MEA:

1. On FortiManager, enable Universal Connector MEA. See Enabling Universal Connector MEA.

   Universal Connector MEA is downloaded from Fortinet Registry and installed on FortiManager.

2. Open Universal Connector MEA. See Opening Universal Connector MEA.
3. In Universal Connector MEA, create fabric connectors to other applications. See Creating fabric connectors.
4. In Universal Connector MEA, ensure the fabric connectors are turned on. See Ensuring fabric connector are turned on.

   Fabric connectors must be turned on to enable communication between fabric connectors and external applications.

5. In FortiManager, go to Policy & Objects, and turn on Universal Connector. For example, see Enabling Universal Connector MEA in Policy & Objects.

Universal Connector must be turned on in the Policy & Objects module in FortiManager to enable communication between the FortiManager and Universal Connector MEA and to use labels in policies and objects.
