This topic explains how to deploy the FortiEndpoint platform. This topic assumes that you already purchased the desired subscription licenses for your deployment from a Fortinet partner or reseller and received your license activation codes.

To migrate from FortiClient Cloud to FortiEndpoint, contact Fortinet Support. Direct in-place migration of standalone FortiEDR Cloud deployments to FortiEndpoint is not currently supported. |
To deploy FortiEndpoint:
-
Register the FortiEndpoint subscription contract to your FortiCloud account:
FortiEndpoint does not support enabling Organization Units (OUs) or registering it under existing OUs. You must log in as an IAM user without OUs enabled or a FortiCloud email user. You can create only one FortiEndpoint instance per FortiCloud account.
- On the Customer Service & Support site, go to Asset Management > Register Now.
- In the Registration Code field, enter your license activation code and select Next to continue registering the product.
- Enter your details in the other fields and complete the registration. This is a yearly subscription.
You may need to wait a few minutes for the cloud instance to initialize before you can proceed to step 2 or 3.
- Register the FortiEndpoint endpoint licenses for management by FortiEndpoint:
- On the Customer Service & Support site, go to Asset Management > Register Now.
- In the Registration Code field, enter your license activation code and select Next to continue registering the product.
- Select the Used for Cloud Purpose checkbox.
- Enter your details in the other fields and complete the registration.
-
Access FortiEndpoint in one of the following ways:
You must log in as an IAM user without OUs enabled or a FortiCloud email user.
- Access FortiEndpoint from FortiCloud.
- Access FortiEndpoint from the FortiEndpoint portal:
- In a browser, go to the FortiEndpoint portal.
- Log in with your FortiCloud credentials.
- Access FortiEndpoint from the link in the welcome email.
If you cannot access the FortiEndpoint portal, ensure that you enable access to
forticlient.forticloud.com:443. See Allowlisting the FortiEndpoint IP addresses. - When you first log in to FortiEndpoint, you can select the region to store your FortiEndpoint data. Select North America, EMEA, U.K., or APAC.
-
To switch to other accounts that you belong to as a subuser, select your account in the upper right corner of the GUI and then select Switch Accounts.
