What's New

What's New

24.1.a release

Zone file import

FortiGSLB Cloud now supports importing zone files, allowing you to enhance DNS management by uploading your locally saved zone config file to apply multiple records to a single zone domain. Key feature highlights include:

  • Validating zone files against BIND format and RFC 1035 standards.

  • File size limit: 1 MB.

  • Meticulous parsing ensures accurate record configuration.

For more information, see Importing zone configuration files

Support Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDN) as Destination Address

You can now configure FQDN as a Destination Address for FortiGate Connectors and Synthetic Testing. This allows for seamless management of dynamic IP address changes without configuration adjustments, ensuring adaptability to cloud environment changes and eliminating manual updates.

For more information, see Fabric connectors and Synthetic testing.

23.3 release

New FortiGSLB Locations

FortiGSLB Cloud has deployed service to the new locations of Germany and Singapore.

Anycast DNS Server Support

Deploy DNS service to multiple regions by migrating to an Anycast DNS server. Using an Anycast IP address, DNS query requests automatically route to the nearest FortiGSLB endpoint. This change enhances stability and resilience, reduces latency, and achieves the best response times globally. Implementation of this feature requires all domains to switch to the new Anycast IP address by March 7, 2024. For more information, see Anycast Migration for Global DNS service.

Primary and Secondary DNS Server support

FortiGSLB Cloud is supporting a Primary and Secondary DNS Server. For more information, see Anycast Migration for Global DNS service.

23.2 release

City-level geographic location matching for Data Center and Location

FortiGSLB has now extended its geographic location matching capabilities to support city-level detections for Data Center and Location profile objects. For more information, see Data center and Location.
