Automatic password changing

Automatic password changing

A password changer linked to a secret template can be activated to periodically change the password in a secret that uses this secret template.

To automatically change the password:
  1. Go to Secrets > Secret List.

    Alternatively, go to Folders, and select the folder where the secret is located.

  2. Double-click the secret to edit it.
  3. In the Secret Setting pane:
    1. Enable Automatic Password Changing.
    2. In Start Time, enter the date and time when the recurring schedule begins. Alternatively, select the Calendar icon and then select a date and time.
    3. In Recurrence, select from the following three frequencies of recurrence:
      1. Daily
      2. Weekly
      3. Monthly
    4. In Repeat every, enter the number of days/weeks/months after which the password is changed.
    5. In Occurs on, select from the following days of the month when the password is automatically changed:
      1. First
      2. Second
      3. Third
      4. Last
      5. Last Day
      6. Day

      When you select Day, select + to add days of the month when the password is automatically changed.

      Select days of the week when the password is automatically changed.

      Note: The Occurs on option is only available when Recurrence is set as Weekly or Monthly.

    6. The automatic password changing schedule is displayed in Recursive.

  4. Click Save.

    If Automatic Password Changing is enabled then the Password Changer Status shows the amount of time after which the password is automatically changed.
